  13. fee is $29 and includes free video CD, and gives you
  14. password access and unlimited pictures and sounds
  15. in your playlist. You also get 375 color JPEG 
  16. pictures to use as backdrops with SoundPix, and 
  17. our other "picture" screen savers ScreenPix and 
  18. the motivational QuoteSaver.
  19. You can also register ScreenPix by itself for $19,
  20. without the CD-ROM or picture collection.

  27. Installation:
  28. ---------------
  29. To install SOUNDPIX, unzip the 
  30. SOUNDPIX.ZIP file you downloaded.
  31. Then run the SETUP.EXE program. 
  32. Follow the on-screen prompts.
  33. This will load the program onto
  34. your system. To keep file size small
  35. this version does not include the file
  36. ========VBRUN300.DLL,==========
  37. but it is *required* to run the program.
  38. This file must be in your \WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory.

  44. Description:
  45. ------------
  46. SoundPix is a screen saver that will display
  47. any graphics files (BMP/JPG/GIF/TIF/PCX) that you 
  48. choose, accompanied by any WAV audio files you choose.
  49. Customize it to show just the ones you want.
  50. Choose the duration that the pictures appear for.
  51. Decide if they should play in order or randomly.
  52. Select if they should be shown normal size or
  53. stretched to fill the screen. Turn the sound on
  54. or off; set the sounds to play all the way through
  55. or have a new sound accompany each new picture. 
  56. Also works great as a slide show program. Set it 
  57. up and it will play through your list of pictures 
  58. continuously.

  60. Configuring Screen Saver:
  61. ==========================
  62. (Windows 3.1)
  63. To use the screen saver, double-click 
  64. CONTROL PANEL, usually in the MAIN group 
  65. on your desktop. When CONTROL PANEL opens, 
  66. double-click on DESKTOP to go into the 
  67. desktop configuration screen. About halfway 
  68. down the window, select the Screen Saver Name 
  69. drop-down box. You should find SOUNDPIX in the 
  70. list. Select it. Now click on the SETUP button. 
  71. In the screen saver setup, you can adjust the
  72. settings to your preferences. Click the 
  73. Select Picture List button; then you can select 
  74. any .BMP file on your hard drive, and see it in
  75. the Preview Window. Click 'Add Picture' near the bottom 
  76. to add the picture to your playlist. The playlist will
  77. display the listed pictures when the screen
  78. saver kicks in. Click 'Setup Complete' when
  79. you are finished. Then click on Select Sounds
  80. and do the same thing for sounds. Click 'Setup Complete' 
  81. when you are finished. On the main setup screen,
  82. you can also turn the sound off. Normally, each sound
  83. will finish playing before it moves to the next one. 
  84. If you want to synchronize each sound with a 
  85. particular picture, check the "New Sound Each Picture"
  86. box. That's it. Click EXIT and try the TEST
  87. button.

  89. Right-click the desktop to bring up the 
  90. display panel, or click the START button and
  91. choose Settings/Control Panel; from there you 
  92. can choose DISPLAY. With the Display Panel open,
  93. click on the Screen Saver Tab. Select SOUNDPIX 
  94. from the drop down list of screen savers, and click
  95. Settings to setup. and Preview to test it.

  98. Removing SoundPix:
  99. To remove SoundPix from your system,
  100. delete the file SOUNDPIX.SCR from your
  101. \WINDOWS directory. Also, delete the 
  102. directory you chose to install to (default
  103. C:\GALTWARE -- README & ORDER files
  104. are stored here).

  113. You are granted a license to use SoundPix 
  114. for a period of up to 30 days. After
  115. that time, you are required to purchase the
  116. product(s) through registration or else 
  117. discontinue its use.

  120. software and distribute it to your friends 
  121. and co-workers, on electronic bulletin
  122. boards, over networks, and so on, as long 
  123. as the product is not distributed for
  124. profit (handling fees up to $5.00 ok).

  126. to distribute this installation executable 
  127. which contains the associated files together 
  128. as a group. You are not allowed to bundle 
  129. this software with other products without 
  130. prior written permission from Galt Technology.

  134. the software is recorded or distributed and 
  135. are entitled to use the software, but Galt 
  136. Technology retains title and ownership of

  141. works from any of the files that are used 
  142. in this software. This includes all the 
  143. executable, help, installation, and readme
